AWC concluded its season with two vibrant and memorable final performances: one at Catalina Foothills High School and another at St. Mark Catholic Church.
Both concerts celebrated our 40-year anniversary with two special slide shows and a video of an interview with our founder. These performances featured a diverse selection of choral pieces that showcased our talent and musical versatility, led by Conductor Terrie Ashbaugh and our new Assistant Conductor Kayla Avery. Audience members were treated to some of our favorite classic and contemporary works, delivered with heartfelt enthusiasm and polished harmonies.
Highlights of the show included stirring solo performances by Ida Rhem, Lily Tate, Grace Fuller, Lisa Urbanski, Heather Pletnick, and Jesse Rhoads — plus, a moving violin solo by Kai Kawamura.
We look forward to new musical adventures in the coming 2026 season, when we will be working on a new commissioned piece by composer Khris Dodge in preparation for our performance at Carnegie Hall this summer.
AWC would like to thank all of our sponsors and volunteers; without your support, these concerts wouldn’t have happened.
