Arizona Women’s Chorus

Based in Tucson, the Arizona Women’s Chorus comprises women ages 18 and older from all walks of life. An advanced women’s chorus, we sing a varied repertoire — from jazz to classical, Broadway to international, and everything in between. We have toured by invitation, collaborated with other musical groups, and commissioned new works for women’s voices.

“I Can Still Sing”
This documentary by Taryn Mayer and Alivia Alexander, made through the UA School of Music, explores how collective singing supports health and well-being across the lifespan. Through personal narratives, chorus members reflect on the social, spiritual, physical, and mental impacts of making music in community, and how singing together differs from singing alone. Created as part of the Music in Health Story Lab, this film highlights community music-making as a meaningful practice of connection, resilience, and care.
